Abstract
In the research work entitled Uso de ovoalbúmina como ligante de mortero cálcico aéreo en restauración de pintura mural colonial: Estudio de caso aimed to evaluate the formulation of aerial lime mortars with ovalbumin as an organic additive for use in paint restoration colonial mural in which it has been used, and whose laboratory analysis has allowed to identify it. The research was developed with a mixed approach and sequential design, descriptive and applied type. Six mortars (M1, ... M6) were formulated for which the proportions of the ingredients were manipulated to recognize and measure their physical properties (volumetric shrinkage, weight loss during drying, moisture absorption, tear resistance, texture, and final hardness) in four probes per mortar, making a total of 24. It was concluded that the mortar M2, presented the best characteristics for its use in the restoration of the surface plaster of the mural painting of the Patron Savior of the World temple, in the district of San Salvador located in the province of Calca, Cusco (Peru). Heuristic judgment was used for the selection. Also, the characteristics of the mural painting are described, in whose original plaster or plaster (intonaco) the colonial use of ovalbumin was identified, the iconography, the state of conservation and the sequence of procedures carried out, as a sample case study.
