dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación, se concentra en el estudio de una pintura sobre lienzo, catalogada como “Constantino el grande y los frailes”, el cual se encuentra en el Museo y Catacumbas del Convento Máximo de San Francisco de Asís del Cusco, donde se desarrolla el diagnóstico del estado de conservación, registros y estudios preliminares, el estudio técnico y la descripción detallada del proceso de restauración, tomando los criterios teóricos y parámetros que existen en este campo, así logrando la recuperación total de la unidad potencial de obra pictórica, y que sea exhibida dentro de las salas del museo. Por otro lado, en cuanto a la apreciación valorativa gráfica, se logró identificar por medio del análisis iconográfico que el personaje de “Constantino el grande” no corresponde a la ficha de catalogación propio del lienzo, sino más bien pertenece a San Luis IX, rey de Francia y a los frailes franciscanos de la primera orden liderado por San Bernardino de Siena, quienes promovieron durante la edad media la devoción al Dulce Nombre de Jesús; por ello convendría que el título del lienzo debería modificarse.
dc.description.abstractThe present investigation focuses on the study of a painting on canvas, cataloged as “Constantine the Great and the Friars”, which is located in the Museum and Catacombs of the Convento Máximo de San Francisco de Asís in Cusco, where the diagnosis of the state of conservation, records and preliminary studies, the technical study and the detailed description of the restoration process, taking the theoretical criteria and parameters that exist in this field, thus achieving the total recovery of the potential unit of pictorial work, and that sea exhibited within the museum rooms. On the other hand, regarding the graphic appraisal, it was possible to identify through iconographic analysis that the character of “Constantine the Great” does not correspond to the cataloging sheet of the canvas, but rather belongs to Saint Louis IX, king. of France and the Franciscan friars of the first order led by Saint Bernardino of Siena, who promoted devotion to the Sweet Name of Jesus during the Middle Ages; For this reason, it would be advisable that the title of the canvas should be modified.
