Abstract
The present research work arises from the fact that a large group of pilgrims who attend the festivity of the Lord of Qoyllorit'i, have a certain ignorance of some customs and rituals typical of Andean spirituality present in that festivity, generating a tendency to these customs are forgotten or weakened as to their true meaning. In this sense, the pilgrims who are losing part of their Andean worldview, no longer instill it in future generations, thus giving priority to the Christian religion, relegating the Andean spirituality that is the basis of all the practices and origins within that festivity. The primary objective of this research is to show, through the representation of aesthetic expressions in mixed techniques, the traditional rituals practiced during the festivities of the Lord of Qoyllorit'i, in order to highlight and sensitize the pilgrim about the presence of the Andean worldview within that festivity and investigate the degree of faith they have in this regard. As part of the investigation, a total of 12 artistic works were elaborated, where issues concerning the cults and customs that are usually practiced within the rituals of that festivity were addressed. The aforementioned works have been exhibited in the Museum Gallery of the Banco de la Nación in the city of Cusco.
