Abstract
In educational practice and school coexistence at the "Bernardo Tambohuacso" School, it has been observed that third-grade secondary school students lack understanding of the meaning of the masks used in the dances of the Virgen del Carmen de Pisac festival. In view of this situation, the need arose to teach them how to make these masks in plaster bandages, related to the dances of Pisac, so that they can appreciate their meaning and aesthetic value. The purpose of this research was to explore plaster bandage masks of six Pisac dances, through the design of a teaching-learning module, and to integrate it into the process of research in artistic education, analyzing the final aesthetic sample. The methodology used was practical and descriptive, with a qualitative focus on artistic educational processes. The participants were students from the Bernardo Tambohuacso school, with a final sample of 11 students from the third-grade section "B". Techniques such as observation and introspection, as well as category analysis for data processing, were used, using electronic equipment such as video cameras, semiotic and aesthetic analysis. The results concluded that the design of this teaching-learning module proved to be effective in the process of research in artistic education. Through practice, students not only acquired a deeper knowledge of these traditional masks, but also developed research and critical analysis skills. The final aesthetic production reflected the students' understanding of the analysis of artistic research papers. the understanding of the students for the analysis of the artistic works of research.
